Each year, the ITREP Network draws up a portrait of its members (position in the college, percentage of tasks dedicated to ICT issues and their evolution, benefits of being a member of the network, suggestions, etc.). This data is very useful for the coordinator of the network. For example, data from previous years were used to create graphics illustrating the evolution of the percentage of tasks dedicated to ICT in colleges, which were incorporated into the Mémoire sur la stratégie numérique en éducation et en enseignement supérieur (p. 56, see below) that the Fédération des cégeps submitted to the MEES in December 2016.
The response rate for the questionnaire, of the ITREPs from CEGEPs and public colleges for 2017-2918 is 96%, and 92% for the whole network. It is of 80 % for anglophones colleges (public and private) and of 94 % for francophone colleges.
We notice this year that there is a slight increase in the percentage of tasks dedicated to ICT issues in public and private colleges. However, the needs are still huge if we take into consideration the increasing use of digital technology in education, the implementation of cloud computing, the increasing offer of activities in distance learning, all this at a time when Quebec is adopting a Plan d’action numérique en éducation et en enseignement supérieur (Digital Action Plan for Education and Higher Education). Again this year, ITREPs are very satisfied with the current operating mode of the network, its animation and the resources that are offered to them.
