Digital Integration to Improve Student Success and Perseverance: Bases for Building an Argument

Which argument to use in order to link the integration of IT and the improvement of student success (role, impact) when developing a Strategic Plan for student success or when revising the Social Science program? This question was part of a simulation exercise done at the ITREP meeting of November 2017. All collected data can be found in this document (in French) which proposes a series of favorable elements to take into consideration for the integration of IT to improve student success and perseverance.

CollegeBadge.ca: Recognizing the Mastering of Formal and Informal College-level Skills

The objective of CollegeBadge.ca is to recognize the mastering of formal and informal skills (disciplinary, digital, participation in student life, sports, etc.) by granting digital badges which are available online via the college network. Target audiences are regular daytime and Cont.Ed students, those seeking recognition of acquired competencies (RAC) and customized company training. The Collegebadge.ca project will be validated by experimenting with a digital badge system for the mastering of skills and objectives from the ICT Profile for College Students.[+++]

The 2017-2018 Activities of the ITREP Network: Supporting Success

Each year, ITREPs are asked to complete a questionnaire that identifies the actions and activities of the ITREP Network, taking into account their needs and the needs of their institution. The questionnaire is also an opportunity to indicate their interest in participating in the ITREP Network’s working objects (files, topics of interest) and submit their suggestions. The questionnaire results are closely linked to the annual action plan of the ITREP Network. The detailed results of the consultation are available online (in French). At the AQPC (Association québécoise de pédagogie collégiale)  annual symposium in June 2017, Julie Verdy and Catherine Paquin-Boivin from the CEGEP Marie Victorin presented a workshop entitled L’enseignement explicite des bases de l’intégrité intellectuelle (Teaching Intellectual Integrity in an Explicit Manner). They presented presented a decision-making tool, intended for students, about respecting intellectual property.
